How to grow a potato in a bucket
We are entering a competition to grow a potato in a bucket as part of a fundraiser. From my research I have found that we need to have drain holes drilled in the bottom of the bucket. We will plant the potato seed just below the potting mix so that the shoot can grow through the soil. As the shoot grows longer we can add more soil.

Who eat's who?
We made a collaborative piece of artwork that shows what animals eat what animals. The lion is the apex consumer who is not eaten by other animals. The lion eats the fox who is a secondary consumer. The fox eats the snake who is a secondary consumer. A snake would then eat a mouse who is a primary consumer. A mouse would eat seeds which is a producer.

This week we were using an animation tool called Brush Ninja
to create our own animation about Matariki.
In Brush Ninja you start with a blank canvas so we had to be creative with our images.
Alison's blog post is below.
Today I was learning about how to make an animation on Brush Ninja
I enjoyed making tons of pretty stars
My digital learning object shows I can make a gif
Next time I would change the colour

Thanks Declan.

Reusing Images
The Kawa of Care helps us make
SMART decisions when using our device.
To be Cybersmart in Tairāwhiti we had to locate images of Tairāwhiti using the search within Google Drawings.
These images are labelled for reuse so we know
we are allowed to use them.
we are allowed to use them.
Here is Lance's work.

Forklift Hold
Every week we have Cybersmart lessons with Mrs Torrie.
This term we are learning how to take care of our devices.
We showed how to use the 'forklift hold" and
how to "hug and hold" as we walked around safely.
We had to use the webcam on our
Chromebook and insert our photos onto the slide deck.
Some of us were able to decorate our slide.
Do you like our colour schemes?
